Watch out couture, Courtney’s coming to get you

Look who i met…

Rocker, rebel and relentless rogue without a cause, Courtney Love, has this week revealed that she is tired of being on every ‘worst dressed’ list and walking on the wild side and has pledged allegiance to high fashion.

The most unpredictable of women has surprised once again, and has announced that, at 49, she is simply ‘too old to pull grunge off.’ the clean and wholesome side grunge look because she feels she’s ‘simply too old’ to pull it off.

The outrageous eccentric has also stopped wearing her own label, Never the Bride, as flapper and baby-doll dresses no longer suit her newest incarnation.

Guaranteed, she will still be turning heads, and I’m sure that there are slightly tense PRs on standby at her new favourite fashion houses, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors and Oscar de la Renta.

There is however, a little life in the old girl yet, after telling us she is a demure and polished individual, Love had time to insult two of todays most tabloid teasing provocateurs, naming Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus as ‘artless and contrived.’

Having spent the past 20 years going against the grain in an ever changing the angst ridden industry she revealed, with unusually bold candor, a guilty pleasure. When asked about her life now she was, as always, terribly earnest. ‘I have listened to “Roar” and “We Can’t Stop” and I love “Wrecking Ball” but these are songs written by men mostly for pop tarts.’

No matter the interview or story, one never leaves without an 80s Courtney Love sound bite, and i wasn’t disappointed by the ever unpredictable woman of many talents.

Every PR bone left in me was begging her to stop every hack to push my luck. I was once labelled a young rogue, and years on i am still, a young rogue.

So having looked me up and down (bare footed with a mop of tousled hair) without pause I simply got, ‘If you can’t start a trend, you’re screwed.’

I’m no longer a celebrity, get me a new career!

By now you’ll know that I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here is about to return to our screens – you can’t have missed the new trailers,  where the typical Aussie yucca mispronounces the word Dec, or, perhaps those were last year’s trailers, I honestly can’t be sure. Either way, the most famous thing to out of Children’s BBC, Ant and Dec are back. I am not sure if it is a plain and outright lie to say ”celebrity line up”, so who can we look forward to watching eat kangaroo’s danglies this year? Here’s who’s been linked to the show so far.
ITV have now confirmed that the new series will start on 17 November.
If there is ever a case so clearly written in order to demonstrate the phrase, ‘pot, kettle, black, Lindsay Logan has declared that, after some turbulent years with “exhaustion” Chris Pine is due for a comeback, like Robert Downey Jr and Drew Barrymore. Right there, there, is the mark of what excellent cameras do to mediocre people.
Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, you may of heard of her… she’s married to future king of England and just gave birth to The King part two! Despite being the ultimate yummy mummy, appears to be in search of a style overhaul. Expect to see Kate in Isabel Marant for H&M or Rihanna for River Island.
And obviously, what would a day be without Harry Styles dressed as Miley Cyrus and Nicole Kidman in a blonde wig!

Mark Hole follows his heart in to 2013

This January, London born song smith Mark Hole will embark on the next leg of his musical adventure as he launches his second solo album, ‘Always Follow Your Heart.’

A lively face of London’s gig scene, remarkably, Mark Hole remains unsigned. However, since creating and self-releasing his debut Album “F-Sharp” people have started taking notice. He supported “Tori Amos” on her European Tour at the end of 2011 and received critical acclaim following his performance of ‘Torture Garden’ of Clive Anderson’s BBC Radio 4 show, Loose Ends.

In all of his spare time (!), Mark has just finished his second Album “Always Follow Your Heart”, spends his time interacting with his bevy of groupies and youtube fans  using quirky, anarchic low-fi videos and will soon be releasing a new EP called “Ross’s Choice”…

People are clearly keen to work with Mark, evidenced by recent collaborations with award-winning producer and ‘Rumer mentor’ “Steve Brown”, cutting his teeth with the likes of “Declan Gaffney” from the “U2” Crew, spending time in the studio with “Mr Jimmy Hogarth” himself and now working with the legend that is “Amanda Ghost”.

In a parallel musical universe, Mark has made a new family in Sweden with esteemed producers LIONHEART, and “You’ve Gotta Love A Pop Record” is currently being developed in Stockholm for release in the near future.

When Kevin Spacey bought “F-Sharp” on the basis of its cover photo alone (a typically “bare all” Mark, sprawled across an unmade bed!) he said “Listen to his songs and go to his gigs, you’ll find him to be a pretty open kind of fellow, yes a little eccentric, but his uniqueness informs a musical style with a real independence of character which you won’t find anywhere else. Think Rufus/Folds with the emotion of Jeff and the fun of Queen, and then think beyond all 4 and a bit to the side”

Mr Mark Hole, that’s ‘Mark with a K, Hole in the Ground!’ … a name worth remembering. DS
